TD Benefits was founded by Tom Dyas, whose long-standing nickname "TD" originates from his initials. The name TD Benefits reflects not only his personal dedication but also the trust and service excellence the company has built over the years. Tom also holds the exclusive right as the local advisor for the Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan. We are proud to work closely with many local Chambers of Commerce, ensuring their members have access to Canada’s #1 group benefit plan.

Tom DyasPresident
Tom moved from Toronto to British Columbia in 1986 to initially pursue a career in Hotel Management. In May of 1987, Tom changed direction when he created TD Benefits, which he has proudly owned and operated ever since. The name "TD Benefits" comes from Tom’s long-time nickname, "TD," which originates from his initials, reinforcing his personal commitment to the company and its clients.
Tom has always been actively involved in the community, coaching local soccer clubs and sitting on the Boards of Kelowna Minor Hockey, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, the Okanagan College Advisory, and the Child Advocacy Centre. Tom received the President’s Award for Director of the Year and was Kelowna Chamber of Commerce President for two consecutive terms. He was also Chair of the 2020 Memorial Cup Host Committee. Tom enjoys community involvement, especially when debating policy and advocacy through provincial and federal governments. Running a successful, respectful business has always been a primary focus for Tom, although to date, he feels his greatest achievement has been raising his three children into adulthood.

Lyndon DyasInsurance Broker
Lyndon Dyas joined TD Benefits in 2012; he has been a top advisor with TD Benefits for over 10 years! Lyndon attended Okanagan College for 4 years, majoring in Finance. He works closely with small and medium sized businesses, assisting with the implementation of employee benefit programs as well as providing individual, life, and disability insurance solutions. Lyndon grew up in Kelowna and loves meeting and working with local business owners and community members. He takes great pride in his work and in ensuring his clients always feel happy, informed, and supported.
Outside of work, Lyndon loves spending time exploring the Okanagan and beyond with his wife, Sarah, and Silver Labrador (Wheeler). He also enjoys golfing the Okanagan, camping, and a well-crafted charcuterie board.

Kathy FinleyGroup Administrator
Kathy has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and has essential knowledge in individual life and general insurance. She made the transition to employee benefits in 1999 when she began her career with TD Benefits. She prides herself in ensuring our clients receive the best service and support possible when it comes to their employee benefit plans. Kathy will instantly offer you peace of mind when she is assisting you with your benefit plan as she maintains nothing less than a standard of excellence when it comes to client care.
Kathy loves hot yoga, golf, and has served on many parent advisory boards as well as charitable committees raising funds for less advantaged children. She is also a long-time blood donor. More recently, Kathy has become most proud of her title of “Grandma”; she has transitioned to part-time work to maximize quality time with her family and grandchildren.
Larissa MacArthurGroup Administrator
Larissa has been working in office administration for just over two years. She attended Okanagan College to become a business administrative assistant and graduated with her diploma in 2021. Raised in Kelowna and spending most of that time in the Lower Mission, she quickly felt right at home joining the team at TD Benefits.
In her spare time, you can find Larissa skiing at Big White, enjoying local restaurants and wineries, or at the dog beach with her pup, Henry. She also loves spending quality time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. Larissa is excited to be a part of such an amazing longstanding business and to have the opportunity to continue serving her community.
